Easter Egg Hunt: Children scramble to gather eggs left by the Easter Bunny in the fields of Sabatino Park. The hunt is divided into several age categories including one for those with special needs. After the eggs are collected, children open the candy filled eggs in anticipation of one of the “golden” tickets that awards the bearer a grand prize. The empty eggs are then returned and a special treat for participation is awarded. Don’t forget to watch for the Easter Bunny, the Bunny makes a special appearance at the event to mingle with the children and is also available for pictures.

See you on the Saturday before Easter from 12 PM to 1 PM in Sabatino Park! Check out the fun from previous year’s event in the Service Club photo gallery. If you need more information, Contact the Service Club.

Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks: The day starts at 8 AM with a 1 mile “fun run” starting at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School followed at 9 AM with the Bob Zdenek Memorial Fishing Derby at Lake Sharon. Come out early and get a bit of exercise and try your luck at landing that big one and claim your prize.

Refreshments open at 11:30 AM followed by the Bill Ritchie Memorial Parade. The parade starts at noon with the fire departments leading the parade of children on bikes, skaters, tractors, and floats around Sabatino Park. If you wish to be in the parade, meet at the Sleepy Hollow Pool, parking lot at 11:30 AM. No registration is required. See theparade document for additional lineup instructions. There will be trophies awarded for the best floats and the best tractor.

At 3:00pm the winners (need not be present) of the raffle will be drawn. Raffle tickets are available right up to the drawing and are a great tax deductable way to support the Service Club. The games close at 3 PM while the music and refreshment wind down around 4 PM.

At 7:00 PM the park begins to fill with spectators waiting to enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in the area. The Service Club asks for a donation per car to help fund the event. Arrive early and enjoy the evening with friends. The fireworks start at about 9:15 PM.

Setup is on July 3 at 3:30 PM. Volunteers are always welcome to help on setup or on the day of the event. See any club member or go to the ticket booth during the festivities.

Halloween in the Hollow 2011 Flyer

Holiday in the Hollow: The Sleepy Hollow Service Club invites all of Sleepy Hollow to gather for hot cocoa and holiday cheer. Music will be provided by the Sleepy Hollow Elementary School Chimes as we illuminate the Sabatino Park Flagpole and the Sleepy Hollow Elementary School Circle-of-Cheer Christmas trees, to signal the start of the holiday season.

Santa will take a break from his busy schedule to visit with us and listen to the requests of all those children present. One lucky person will help Santa flip the “Santa Switch” to light all seven trees and the flag pole!

See you on the first Saturday in December from 4 PM to 6 PM in Sabatino Park! Check out the fun from the previous year’s event in the Service Club photo gallery. If you need more information, Contact the Service Club.
